Texas Voter ID

The Texas Senate worked late into the night to pass legislation that would require all Texas voters to present a VALID picture ID before being able to cast a ballot in elections. I personally think it is an awesome idea.

Of course Democrats and activist groups are yelling foul, saying that the poor, the minorities and the seniors would be the discriminated against and keep them from voting. To that I say BS! I am a minority, I am a senior and while I am not rich I am doing fine and the fact that I would be required to have a VALID picture is in no way discriminatory.

In fact, it would serve the entire nation well for everyone to provide a VALID form of ID and I cannot see the problem with this law. However I can understand why Liberal Democrats would oppose such legislation. You see, they can never win an election on an even playing field so they have to rely on the votes of the dead, inmates and illegals in order to win.

Also, isn't it a requirement to show a VALID ID when you apply for employment, when you cash a check, when you ask for credit, get insurance and many other things. So then why is it a bad thing to ask for someone to provide VALID ID when exercising one of our most cherished privileges?

I am glad the Texas Senate had the backbone and the courage to get this legislation moving and pray that it will move through the House. The rest of the nation needs to follow suit!
